Stella Yvette Herrell is an American politician and realtor serving as the U.S. representative for New Mexico's 2nd congressional district. A member of the Republican Party, she served four terms as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives for the 51st district from 2011 to 2019.
On February 19, 2022, She compared the use of the Emergencies Act to those of an authoritarian regime like Venezuela, as well as comparing truckers to political prisoners. She plans to introduce legislation to temporary grant asylum to criminals who participated in the illegal occupation of Ottawa.
