Tamara Lich is an organizer for the trucker convoy, being the woman being the GoFundMe campaign.

She was also an organizer for prior events, such as the Yellow vests and the Wexit movement. She resigned from her position from the Maverick Party in order to focus full time on the convoy.

Only a few hours before her arrest, Tamara Lich reiterates he claim that the convoy is not illegal to a reporter and if she is arrested, tell other to "hold the line".

Arrest

Tamara Lich was arrested on February 17, one day before the operation to remove the convoyists on the capital. She was charged with counselling to commit mischief.

She was initially denied bail on February 22, due to questions that her current surety was able to ensure she would return to court to face charges, in addition to abiding by bail conditions. She requested a bail review on the grounds that Justice Julie Bourgeois was a candidate for the Liberal party, an argument which got rejected. However, new information arose where there was a new surety, allowing her release on March 7 with a larger bond than originally suggested.[1] As part of the conditions, she was to leave Ottawa within 24 hours, refrain from social media and avoid contact with certain co-organizers.[2]

During the bail review, she claimed to have indigeneity and Métis identity, but with only questionable evidence at hand. Regardless, the Manitoba Métis Federation condemned the use of the Métis flag and sashes among the convoy leaders claiming their heritage.[3]

On July 8 2022, she returned to prison in Ottawa, after being denied bail for breaching the conditions of her release. [4]
