Pro-convoy Social Media comments

Many people on social media have been pro-convoy with misguided and sometimes hateful comments towards police, government, democracy and Ottawa residents.

• Twitter user @MNeigham, in response to Green Rebel's statement about the aggressive protestors, claimed that it was like a simply Antifa/BLM protest (which was much less disruptive) and claiming the government closed the business off and on for 2 years. Claims the protest was there to help, but unlikely those protestors would have provided support. [1]
• US Texas Congressman Chip Roy believed in the freedom to blockade cities. He then spread a conspiracy theory that Trudeau was hiding out in the United States and demanded his deportation. [2] [3] [4] [5] (The theory was started by Terror Alarm[6], but was retracted [7])
• In response to CoinDesk's tweet about Canada ordering financial institutions to not interact with cryptocurrency addresses associated with the Trucker convoy, Elon Musk posted a meme comparing Trudeau to Hitler. [8]
• Twitter user @SaraCarterDC starts a rumor about a woman trampeled to death.[9] This was claim was retracted.[10]
