Dane Lloyd is a conservative MP of Sturgeon River—Parkland, having won the electoral riding by landslides. As part of the opposition party, he is the Conservative Emergency Preparedness Critic.

On Feburary 14, 2022, he claimed that the invocation of the emergency act is a sign of failure of the Prime Minister. Additionally, Trudeau had every opportunity to de-escalate the situation, and escalate it along with dividing Canadians. [1] In the same interview, he wanted the party to put forward a motion to give Canadians a plan to get out of this pandemic - Peter Julian countered that this was just a fundraising motion instead of a serious attempt to address the issue along with conservatives MPs endorsing the protest that had a profound negative effect on citizens.

Although Convervatives were sighted taking photos with the convoyists, he claims the Conservative party is opposed to the blockade. [2]

He claims there was no spike in suspicious financial activities - no anonymous donations, as the transactions going through Paypal, Stripe or the banks handling money though GoFundMe has to receive reports.
