Donald Trump is a former president of the United States, known for inciting a coup attempt at the end of his presidency.

He downplayed the effects of the convoy. In response to the city's attempt to clear the truckers, he claimed that the convoyists were allegedly slandered as Nazis, racists, terrorists, and that they were also charged with "phoney crimes" and accused of being loyal to foreign powers. [1]
