Robert Swaita was an appointee to Ottawa Police Services Board. In March 2020, he was appointed the position for a term of three years.
He attended the protests near Parliament Hill a few days after they started on January 28, but declined to answer questions about the protest. [1] He failed to disclose to the board that he attended these protests.
On March 2, Swaita resigned from the board, claiming that he didn't do anything wrong. The two other provincial appointees, Daljit Nirman and Bev Johnson, also resigned.
