Robert Swaita was an appointee to Ottawa Police Services Board. In March 2020, he was appointed the position for a term of three years.
He attended the protests near Parliament Hill a few days after they started on January 28, but declined to answer questions about the protest. [1] He failed to disclose to the board that he attended these protests.
On March 2, Swaita resigned from the board, claiming that he didn't do anything wrong.[2] The two other provincial appointees, Daljit Nirman and Bev Johnson, also resigned. [3] [4]
